2025 Cooking Team Application
You are invited to participate in the 12th Annual Covenant Health Big Kahuna Wing Festival in Knoxville, TN. The BKW Festival was created to provide festival goers with a fun & engaging way to get outside while also savoring some of what makes life wonderful - good wings, Fireworks, cold drinks, live music and friends. ALL FOR CHARITY! Full Cooking Teams will supply all items to Prepare and Cook wings during the event. Cooking equipment (purchase or rental) will be the responsibility of the Team. BKW Festival will supply the fresh, raw wings only. Sauce Only Teams will have their wings cooked by the Festival Culinary Team and will finish their wings inside their booth. All other supplies will be the Team responsibility
Items/Services to be provided FOR each participating team
- One 10' x 10' booth space with tent (ADDITIONAL 10' X 10' AVAILABLE - $300 PER)
- One 8 foot table
- Oil resistant padding
- Team Name Signage
- Event Promotion & Advertising
- A minimum of 300 lbs. of fresh wings
- Ticket Sales & Redemption Services
- Team Name on Website & Marketing Pieces
- Traffic Management & Security Patrols
- Music & Entertainment
Items/Services to be provided BY each participating team
- Restaurant Hi Resolution Logo to BKW Festival for collateral inclusion (if applicable)
- Water supply for hand washing; hand soap, paper towels & a waste water bucket or bus tub
- Sanitizer for cleaning & rinsing cooking/serving utensils & food prep & serving areas
- Any equipment needed for serving, warming, cooling and storage of your wings
- Extension Cords, as needed for your appliances i.e. warming cabinets, etc.
- Containers (boats, ramekins, etc.) and utensils for serving your food plus napkins or wet naps.
- Staffing for your booth (up to 10 people with entry). Additional bands can be purchased for additional staff
- Handout coupons and/or other company promotional materials (strongly encouraged!!!)
- Big Kahuna Wing Festival promotion internally via in-house promos, check inserts, Facebook, Twitter, email blasts & websites.
EVENT LOGISTICS
- Ticket system managed by event management selling tickets to consumers that can be used at any competition team booth where 1 ticket is good for 1 wing
- Extra wing tickets can be purchased at the Merchandise booth (minimum five tickets) at $1 per ticket.
- Payment to category winners will be paid by cash or check within one week of event date.
- Certified E.A.T. Judges to help judge Overall Buffalo, Creative Sweet, Creative Spicy, Exotic, and Smoker Division.
- Wings can only be cooked on site at your festival booth.
